Child Health
HSC Winnipeg provides highly specialized and acute pediatric care in the areas of ambulatory, cardiac, emergency, dialysis, intensive, medicine, mental health, neonatal, and surgical care.
To ensure our youngest patients have a comfortable hospital experience, pediatric patients have access to free closed-circuit television studio, curated culturally diverse libraries, and innovative music and play during their stay.
Child Life
Part of the Child Health program includes the Child Life team that advocates for patients and families, provides psychosocial support, and prepares children for treatment and procedures.
Much of the Child Life program funding is provided by gifts from generous donors through the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba.
The HSC Winnipeg Children’s Hospital Emergency Department invites Indigenous parents and youth to provide feedback and cultural perspective in improving care, by being a member of the new HSC Children’s Emergency Department Patient Advisory Council.
