Minor Treatment Clinic

Open 9am-9pm and sees walk-ins as well as patients diverted from the Adult Emergency Department.

The Minor Treatment Clinic is located in the William Ave. Mall, purple bear zone level 1.

Anyone attending the clinic will see a physician or nurse practitioner to address minor injuries and illnesses, including but not limited to:

  • Suspected fractures or sprains
  • Burns and more severe rashes, sores or skin infections
  • Cuts that won’t stop bleeding
  • Severe sore throat/ear or cough, worsening respiratory infections
  • Sudden and severe back pain
  • Eye irritation or redness
  • Persistent fever (seek care same day if the fever is over 101.5 F or 38.6 C and lasting over 8 hours)
  • Minor to moderate rashes or infections
  • Lab and X-ray services
  • Painful hemorrhoids or perianal infections

Once at the clinic, if a physician or nurse practitioner determines a patient needs lab or x-ray services, they will be able to use the resources already available in the hospital for those tests, further reducing wait times and delay.
