Continued Temporary Extended Lab Hours for Manitoba Patients

Manitoba’s health system is continuing to monitor the Dynacare labour situation. All Regional Health Authorities, Shared Health, CancerCare Manitoba, and the Government of Manitoba have been working to ensure Manitobans still receive the important lab work they need.

Patient safety and access to care are our top priorities.

All emergency and time-sensitive diagnostic tests will continue to ensure everyone receives care when needs are critical. Less urgent routine or elective tests will also continue, however some of these patients may experience delays when it is medically safe to do so based on clinical assessment.

If you have any questions about lab testing, you can call Health Links-Info Santé at 204-788-8200 or 1-888-315-9257.

Continued Extended Lab Hours

Shared Health has expanded laboratory collection with extended hours.

You can find a list of all diagnostic services site hours on their Diagnostic Services Locations page.

Shared Health Diagnostic Services has labs in over 60 sites across Manitoba. You can find a full list of these sites on their Locations page. Please keep in mind that you can expect longer wait times for testing during this time.

When clinically safe, your doctor may ask you to defer any non-emergency testing for about two weeks. This will help our staff deal with any urgent testing more quickly.

FOR YOUR SAFETY, DO NOT DELAY TESTING UNLESS YOUR DOCTOR HAS TOLD YOU TO.

If you have any questions about your diagnostic testing, or if your condition changes, please talk to your doctor. They can guide you on where and when to get tested.
