The HSC Archives/Museum holds corporate/business records and artifacts related to Health Sciences Centre. It seeks to preserve and celebrate our remarkable heritage by collecting materials that embody the history of the organization and the people who have worked or studied here.
HSC Archives/Museum is a fully integrated part of HSC Winnipeg. Our collection contains records related to:
- Health Sciences Centre
- Winnipeg General Hospital
- Children’s Hospital of Winnipeg
- Nurses Alumni Association of the Winnipeg General Hospital/Health Sciences Centre
- Nurses’ Alumnae Association of the Children’s Hospital of Winnipeg
- White Cross Guild, Guilds of Children’s Hospital
- Children’s Hospital Foundation
If you are looking for information on the history of HSC and its predecessors, want to use its Archives, or donate items or records, please email us. All donated items are subject to a review by the Archivist to ensure they fit our mandate. HSC Archives/Museum reserves the right to choose not to accept a donation.
To make a financial contribution, select the HSC Archives/Museum Collection Endowment Fund from the Donation Designation List on the HSC Foundation site.

Access to Records
The archives is open weekdays to staff and external researchers by appointment. With the assistance of the archivist, researchers are permitted to consult archival materials in accordance with the archives’ rules and conditions of access. Materials may not be removed from the archives unless permitted to by the Archivist.
Reference and Research Services
The archivist is available to answer short requests by phone, email, in person, or by regular mail. If you require more detailed or extensive research, you may either request that the archivist conduct the research on your behalf for a fee, or book time to visit the archives in person to conduct your own research.
Reprographic Services
The archivist provides fee-based, in-house reprographic services. Please consult the archivist for a fee schedule for photocopying of documents and scanning of photographs.
