Tara Seel
Director of Communications

Tara joined HSC Winnipeg in March 2026. With a career in Communications, Media Relations, Strategy, and Crisis and Issues Management spanning more than 20 years, Tara brings experience in communicating about emergent and rapidly changing environments. Thirteen years in a senior communication role with the Manitoba RCMP as well as her work as a radio and newspaper journalist and editor has had Tara on the frontline of some of the province’s most harrowing incidents.
Communicating and building relationships is key to the work Tara does. She is passionate about working in the public sector, giving the public the information they need to be healthy and safe, and giving her colleagues at HSC the tools they need to stay informed. Openness and transparency are important to Tara, and she strives to build an environment where teamwork is paramount. She leads by example and is always ready to jump in to lend a hand.
Tara holds a Master of Arts in English, a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Regina. She also holds an Advanced Program Certificate in Management, Leadership and Strategy from the University of Manitoba.
