Monika has been a dedicated and passionate member of the HSC nursing staff since 1984 when she joined HSC as a student nurse. Since 1986, she has worked as a Registered Nurse in Adult and Pediatric Surgery/Operating Rooms and inpatient and outpatient environments as well as in the subspecialty areas including burns and reconstructive plastic surgery. Monika was a front-line manager at HSC for 15 years, supporting a number of our surgery units on GH5/RR4 (Adult Burns, Plastics, Head and Neck Surgical Oncology Unit). For the
last three years Monika has been HSC’s Director of Health Services for the Adult Surgery Program.

Throughout her career at HSC, Monika has remained a humble and respectful team player, committed to tackling our challenges and listening to the ideas of her peers and colleagues. Monika demonstrated her capacity for managing complex and dynamic situations in her role as COVID Planning Chief within our Hospital Incident Command Structure and brings years of HSC leadership experience and optimism to the executive team.
